Hurst Family: Life since Brinsley

Brinsley Diane is two weeks and two days old today. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by! She weighed 7lbs. 4 oz. when she was discharged from the hospital. We weighed her today on our baby scale and she weighs 8 lbs. 4 oz. So, she's definitely growing! She is already getting spoiled because everyone wants to hold her all the time. Steve loves to relax in his recliner at night while holding her close to him...she loves it too!

In church this past Sunday, they had a 'Diaper Pounding' for Brinsley. Everyone brought a bag/box of diapers to church for her. The table in the worship center was absolutely full of diapers by the time we left church on Sunday. It was so incredible and so very much appreciated! On Wednesday, June 18th, some of the ladies in the church are having a shower for me. I am very grateful for that as I have very few baby girl's clothes/items right now.

I have found that it is SO much fun looking at all of the pretty baby girl's dresses, headbands, shoes, etc. in the stores. This is obviously the first real chance I have had to seriously look and shop for those items and I am loving it! :)

The boys are doing really well with Brinsley too. They both go through small bouts of jealousy at times but they love her. Greyson would sit and hold her all day if we would let him. Cael was a little standoffish at first but he is starting to come around. He loves to pat her head and her face.

We love all three of our children so very much and feel so blessed and so privileged that God gave us such precious little ones!
