Well, it's been so long since I've posted, so I thought it was time to catch everyone up a little on what's going on with us. This past month has been such a busy one!
Our old youth leaders, Wes and April, from Warrendale (the church youth group where we met) and their four kids came down from Michigan to stay with us for about a week in mid March. We really had a great visit with them! It was crazy around our house with six kids instead of the usual two but everyone had fun...there was never a dull moment in our house, that's for sure! We went to Universal Studios, the beach, the mall and did some house hunting with Wes and April. They are considering relocating down here to FL at some point. We were kind of sad to see them leave but were excited about the possibility of them living down here near us.
Steve flew back to MI a few days after April and Wes left to officiate his cousin, Paul's, wedding. I was so sad that I couldn't be there to see the ceremony. I would love to have seen Steve perform his very first wedding ceremony ever. I'm so glad that his first wedding was that of a family members, especially Paul's. It makes the event so much more special. I also would have loved to have been there to see Paul and Tammi get married. Everyone said that Steve did a wonderful job. I wasn't surprised to hear that, Steve always does very well at that sort of thing. I was very confident that he would do a wonderful job officiating the wedding and according to many people in attendance, he did just that.
This past weekend I spoke at a girls youth conference. I was really nervous about it because aside from leading girls bible study at my house twice a month, I had never really gotten up in front of a large crowd for a lengthy period of time. I have shared my testimony in front of large crowds, but have never really delivered a message. I spoke on Ethics and Principles by which christian teenage girls should strive to live their life by. I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull it off but it's amazing the way God works! As I began preparing and studying for my presentation, God brought so many ideas, thoughts, bible verses, etc. to mind and I really feel like I came up with a message that both held their attention and that really applied to them. Steve asked me to deliver the same presentation to our Sunday School class the next morning, since none of the people in our class were at the conference. I just pray that God used my words to convict all of their hearts in whatever way is needed. My husband was so amazingly wonderful to me! He reserved a room for me at the Ramada Inn a few days before the conference so that I could go and prepare for my presentation with no distractions. He spent the entire afternoon and evening doing fun things with the boys AND had already fed them breakfast by the time I got home the next morning!
As far as the boys go, they're doing great! They're both continuing to grow up way too fast. Greyson will be starting K-4 next year. He will be going to Temple Christian School (the same school were Steve taught). I can't believe that he's old enough to start school already, it really doesn't seem possible.
Cael is all over the place these days. His favorite places to be are inside the dishwasher and in the garage. For some reason he is enamoured by our garage these days...go figure! He is also becoming very vocal very opinionated too!
Well, that's our lives in a nutshell this past month. :)
