US
Hello everyone! Well once again, it's been awhile since my last post...sigh. I'm sorry about that! Life has just been so busy for us, yet again! We went on vacation to Tennessee for a week, then we headed up to Michigan to visit family and friends for a week there. We have been back home for a couple of weeks now.
I am getting ready to start teaching a College/Career Sunday School class at church this next Sunday. Please pray for me as I have never taught this age group before. Steve will continue to teach the Youth Sunday School class as well as Wednesday Youth Night. He will be starting seminary at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (they have a campus in Orlando) beginning in January, 2008. He will be going for his MDiv (Masters in Divinity). Were hoping and praying that by the time Steve begins seminary, somebody will step up and volunteer to teach the Youth Sunday School Class.
Our Senior Pastor has been on vacation this past week so Steve has stepped in and taken on all of the pastoral duties at the church. He preached in church this past Sunday night and did amazingly well...as usual! :) A dear lady from our church sent Steve a very sweet email Monday morning telling him what a blessing she received by his sermon and the words that God spoke through him. Steve was so encouraged and so thankful to receive that email. Positive feedback is a powerful thing, especially when serving in the ministry.
Steve just purchased a new (old) car. He bought a 1973 Malibu Chevelle. We drove over to Orlando to pick it up yesterday. I have been praying that Steve would find something that he enjoys doing that could serve as an exciting stress reliever and just something to have some fun with. Steve so rarely does anything for himself, he is so busy focusing on other peoples' needs. I think this car will be just what he needs right now!
I am volunteering at Temple Christian School (where Steve used to be a teacher) as a cheerleading coach. We have had a few practices already and our first game is on Friday. I'm really looking forward to this season, there are some really awesome girls on the cheerleading squad and I'm looking forward to getting to know each of them even better.
The boys are both growing like weeds! Greyson just finished his basketball season at the YMCA and received his medal, which he is SO proud of!
Cael is just talking up a storm these days! Of course, you can't understand much of what he says, but he IS saying something. He knows where all of his facial body parts are, if asked (i.e. nose, mouth, teeth, eyes, ears, tongue, etc.).
Well, those are the highlights of our lives right now. Below are some pictures that we've taken over the past month.
